Matthew is a primary care paramedic and firefighter who has been an integral part of the John Abbott College Paramedic Department since 2013. In addition to his commitment to educating the community, he brings a wealth of diverse expertise and a deep passion for teaching.
Matthew's paramedic journey has taken him across multiple provinces, including Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the unique healthcare challenges in various regions. His dedication to delivering exceptional patient care has been honed through his work in various settings, including emergency departments.
Beyond his role as a first responder, Matthew proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves as an infanteer with the Fusiliers Mont-Royal and the SD&G Highlanders.
On a personal note, Matthew is married and a proud father of three. He cherishes quality time spent with his family at the cottage, where they create lasting memories together.
Additionally, as a member of the St-Lazare Fire Service, he continues to serve his community with unwavering dedication. His commitment to community well-being extends beyond the classroom, and his firsthand field experience enriches his teaching, offering students invaluable real-world insights.
