Niusha Zohoorian Fooladi holds a Bachelor's degree (2002), a Master's degree (2008), and a PhD (2014) in Library and Information Science from universities in Iran and Malaysia. In addition, she took courses at the École de bibliothéconomie et des sciences de l'information at Université de Montréal in 2015.

She has been teaching at John Abbott since fall 2016, instructing courses in both library-related and records management/archives streams.

Niusha's professional experience includes roles such as Cataloger at the National Library of Iran (2002-2003), followed by her position in managing the library and archive of a specialized institution in the field of business and management for seven years (2003-2010). After relocating from her home country, she worked as a librarian in academic, public, and children's libraries in Malaysia and Canada. She has also taught cataloging and classification at McGill University and has an interest in research. She has published articles, which include: - Academic librarians and their social media presence: a story of motivations and deterrents - Personifying the social media presence of academic librarians: A uses and gratifications perspective - Social tagging in a scholarly digital library environment: users' perspectives - What scholarly channels and resources do authors trust to read, cite and publish in? She is a member of ARMA, the Quebec Library Association (ABQLA), and volunteering as the president of the cataloging and technical services at ABQLA.
