Bouras, Jenny

Jenny Bouras has a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Physiology from McGill University. In addition, she holds a Master of Management and Professional Accounting (MMPA) from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business and a Diploma in Human Resource Management from Concordia University. She holds both CPA and CRHA titles (Chartered Professional Accountant and Conseillère en Resources Humaines Agréés respectively). Most recently, Jenny is completing her second Master degree in Education at the University of Ottawa.
Jenny has been teaching at the CEGEP and University level (McGill, Concordia, UQAM) since 2012. Her areas of expertise are accounting, human resources, business communication and she gives workshops on soft-skills training and job search techniques. She has experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and academic abilities to help them reach their potential. Recently, she worked on the program revision for the Applied Accounting and Administration Program (AAA) in the Continuing Education department at John Abbott College.
Professionally, Jenny has worked in public companies, private companies, not-for-profit organizations and government entities.

David comes to John Abbott College with a background of product development, product marketing management and teaching higher education. With a BASc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Concordia, David has had the opportunity to work in various roles from developing and managing lines of hockey products with Reebok/CCM and Easton to implementing a national product marketing strategy for kitchen appliances with Sensio Inc. Prior to working at John Abbott College, David was a member of the Faculty of Management at JMSB at Concordia University (2016-2019) and has taught many continuing education courses in project management and entrepreneurship. When not teaching at the college, David tutors prospective business graduate students preparing to write the GMAT exam, coaches soccer and ultimate Frisbee, and enjoys the great outdoors with his family.
Guay, Andrée-Anne

Andrée-Anne is a John Abbott alumna and a graduate of McGill University where she completed a BComm with a double concentration in Marketing and Entrepreneurship.
After graduating with a Master's degree in Administration with a concentration in Marketing (M.Sc.) from the University of Sherbrooke, Andrée-Anne spent 18 years in the pharmaceutical industry in an array of sales and marketing positions.
Naturally curious and creative, Andrée-Anne possesses a love for all things design. She's also an avid traveller who enjoys exploring cities and offbeat adventures, like paragliding in the Swiss alps or kayaking through the caves of southern Portugal.
In her free time, you can find Andrée-Anne at local skill hills or the community swimming pool with her family, trying new restaurants, or taking in concerts and stand-up shows.

Magdy Meimari holds a B.Sc. in Materials Engineering (American University in Cairo), a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering (Concordia University) and an MBA in International Business (McGill University). He joined the Business Administration Department in January 2017 at the end of a lifelong career in marketing industrial gases and associated technology with successive regional, national, and global business development mandates in Canada, Europe, and Central America. In the course of his business career, he also had the opportunity to fulfill his passion for teaching as a Teaching Executive at McGill’s Desautels Faculty of Management (2005-2007) and as a Teacher of Industrial Marketing at Institut d’études politiques de Paris - Sciences Po (2011-2013).
Raymond, Darcy

Montréal-born and raised, Darcy joined John Abbott College in 2020. Just prior to that, Darcy was the Vice President of Marketing for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats football cub. He also helped turn around the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team (2008 World Series), as their Vice President of Branding & Fan Experience. Darcy loves education, teaching marketing for years at the University of South Florida. Before completing his MBA at Harvard Business School, Darcy was a Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble, where he was part of the Swiffer launch team. Darcy is proud of being a Concordia University graduate, where he received a Bachelor of Commerce.
Voinea, Sorin

Sorin joined the Faculty of Business Administration in 2019 after acquiring a wealth of business experience in both Fortune 100 and emergent multinationals, starting from his native Romania to Canada, Austria, and Thailand. He received his MBA from McGill University in Montreal (2002). There he was selected in the McGill KARMA Scholastic Honours program in recognition of his professional and academic performance.
On a personal side, Sorin is a tireless optimist who always sees the good in people and the world around him. Whenever he had the chance, he has strived to make a difference in the community by volunteering to help those in need. He served on the Board of Directors for a hospitality house in Montreal and also engaged as a business adviser for the Canadian Executive Service Organization working on a development project for an Indigenous community in the Hudson Bay area. He is currently a member of Baie-D'Urfé Rescue Squad, an all-volunteer organization that provides competent and caring aid to our community, through prevention, public education, and emergency services.
