Stephen joined the Geosciences Department in 1991. He has a DEC in Social Science from John Abbott College, a Bachelor degree (Honours) in Geography and a Masters of Arts degree in Geography from McGill University. His teaching and research interests include the development of suburban landscapes, the political geography of Québec nationalism, the political ecology of global warming and the geography of sports. He is a member of the Social Science Program Committee, the Academic Programs Coordination Committee, and has served on Academic Council, the Board of Governors and the Executive of the John Abbott College Faculty Association.
